Many modern iPads support eSIM, including all iPad Pro models from 2018, iPad Air from 2019, iPad mini from 2021, and the standard iPad from the 10th generation (2022). Unlike iPhones, iPads sold in mainland China also support eSIM.
Compatible iPad Models
- iPad Pro 11" and 12.9" (3rd gen, 2018 and later)
- iPad Air (3rd gen, 2019 and later)
- iPad mini (6th gen, 2021 and later)
- iPad (10th gen, 2022 and later)
eSIM is only available on Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad models. Wi-Fi only iPads do not have a cellular modem or eSIM capability. All regions including mainland China support eSIM on compatible iPads.
